I used to perform with a Taylor 355CE. Very nice guitar, huge guitar for me. There are several makers putting out smaller 12-strings that nonetheless are quite nice and quite loud. I have an OM-sized one but I've seen and played some small Collings 12-strings that are amazing. There are probably several other makers that are putting them out these days.

I never understood the purpose of markers on the fretboard. It's not like you can see the fretboard when playing.
I'd pay a small premium for a clean fretboard without markers myself.

If I am sitting down I can see the fretboard quite clearly.

I was in my local guitar store a while back and found a used Blueridge BR160-12. I played it for maybe an hour in the store then took it home. It has a solid spruce top and solid rosewood B/S. It's a jumbo, similar to the Guilds, but made in China. I was quite surprised at the playability and tone it produced. I have owned an American Guild 12 (F412) and this one rivals it. Great bass response and overall tone. The price was nice too.
