Last summer I had surgery on my left ear and it took a good three weeks for my hearing to sound at all normal so going back the other way it's the same deal! It took that length of time for my guitars to sound "right" as well. Hang in there, OP!

I have been wearing hearing aids for about 7 weeks.
Initially, my acoustics sounded much better. Except, the high E string sounds like it has a little distortion on it if I hit it hard. They did apply a global feedback setting on mine. However, I do have adjustments I can make. Plus there is a program for music. The audiologist told me to try that before make even more changes. I just keep forgetting to try it. I had gotten another SJ-200 back in November. I kept thinking to selling it becuase I was not happy with the sound. AFter getting hearing aids, that guitar ain't going nowhere. WOW - what a difference. My wife said, "I kept telling you it sounded great." Give yours time. Work with the audiologist. I went back 5 times for adjustments in the first 4 weeks. I am still adjusting. But every day is little better than the last. And, I find I am playing guitar more.
