Default G7th Heritage Capo Mini Review

Recently received a G7th Heritage Capo. In short, I love it!

Quality, presentation, and functionality are spot on. Beautiful design, nifty little pouch, and works as a capo should. Fits multiple neck profiles without hassle.

Is this the only capo one needs? I can't answer that but, for me, it probably is.

Hands down the best capo I've ever owned. Bought it for the ART technology and it's inherent promise, but then discovered it made my guitars' tone much better when capo'd. A huge surprise as I had come to accept that my guitar just didn't sound as good when capo'd.

I got one recently and wholeheartedly agree! It is beautiful and fits all of my guitars equally well, including my Rainsong which has a chunky neck.

Yeah, I think I tried every type of side mount capo ever made, including the new Performance 3 and all of them required a good bit of re-tuning. I finally broke down and got the Heritage and I almost never have to retune a string with it. I thought it would be a PIA to use a yoke style capo since I use a Hercules wall hanger most of the time and can't really store the capo above the nut then. But, in practice, it's just as quick and easy to put on and take off as a side-mount type and extra second or so that MIGHT take is more than saved by the guitar staying in tune.

I would have saved a good bit of money if I'd spent for this initially rather than trying every cheaper option first... I used to spend waaaaay too much time thinking about capos, now I never think about them anymore. It just works...

Another happy Heritage user here. A really well designed and well made capo. I felt that it was worth the investment and the Heritage along with the Elliott-McKinney are the two capos I use the most.

Best,
Jayne

I think they are fantastic. Elliott-McKinney capos and G7 Heritage my favorite capos. I like the adjustable radius technology.

Yup......use mine almost exclusively, especially if recording. The Elliot and Performance 3 round out the group, but the Heritage is the ONE!!

Best I’ve tried or used. Have a whole box of lonely capos, now

Quite happy with mine, except the top bar latch that drives me nuts with its play. No issue at all as long as the capo is tight and in use, but annoying as hell when moving the capo between frets.

I would have given it a top score if not for that flimsy latch. Really a shame on a capo that costs this much, and probably what will make me order an Elliott and sell the g7th.

They're great capos and the first I've used that can remain on the guitar as a permanent adornment above the nut. Paired with matching tuners they look very sharp.

Definitely worth the money.
