Great news for you! I was blown away by the price Ted gave me on my Taylor 914, so I can imagine you just "had" to buy it, when you heard the deal.

Teds the best! I’m trying to hold myself back from ordering a 517 right now!

Congrats man! I played one a few weeks ago in a OKC, and I was impressed! And I’m not usually a Taylor fan!

The waiting is so hard! But you will love it once it arrives. Interested in your initial thoughts on it!

Dumb question...but are both the 517e & 717e gloss top & "silent satin" back and sides...or is the top satin finish on both as well. And, do both have the rounded edges?

I've owned two Taylors in the past, and have been a "Martin Guy" ever since...but these two guitars are interesting to me.

Many congrats and enjoy! Lots of love for the Grand Pacifics around here, including me - love my 317e.

Everyone has their favorite person to buy from, but when it comes to price Ted is KING...

Congrats on the new GP! I will be joining the club soon hopefully.

The top has the satin finish as well, and yes, both have the rounded edges. My 517 is a very comfortable guitar to play. I have a custom D-28 that is the guitar I play (ed?) the most. I love the Martin tone. But the dry, articulate and warm tone of the 517 is hard to put down.
