Colin James. Saw him last week, what a great show.
His latest album "Miles To Go" is a good one.

Camel: A Nod and a Wink

It's a really intimate album, letting the cat out of the bag on how much guitarist/bandleader Andrew Latimer missed his home in England during his tax exile days. He moved back a couple of years after the album was released. It's dedicated to his old chum, keyboardist Peter Bardens (1944-2002), who died earlier the year of the CD's release.

1920s jazz bands and piano players. Awesome!

I've been listening to a lot of Ray LaMontagne on Pandora. Every so often they throw a little 60s Motown and Van Morrisson in the mix. It's eclectic to me - if a bit depressing at times.

Spoon and the Capstan Shafts (early stuff).

Here's a great cover of "I Me Mine" by Britt of Spoon:

Saw him with Neko Case last Summer in Austin. Good show!

Love Spoon. Did you listen to Britt's side project (w/ Wolf Parade's Dan Boeckner), the Divine Fits? Really good album, and Britt Daniel always puts on a great live show.

I've been playing the new Jenny Lewis album, and I just began listening to the new album from Lambchop, "This (Is What I Wanted To Tell You)." So far, this year has a ton of good music, compared to last year (which was the worst music year in a long, long time).

I'm revisiting the ( 1920s ) recordings of The Beale Street Sheiks/Frank Stokes some 50-odd years after first being captivated by them - & they still sound just as good as they did then, with the added bonus of much-improved sound quality on today's re-issues.
