Default Classical guitar with hybrid picking

Hi!

I have been using hybrid picking on classical guitar for a while. That's because I think I won't have enough time to practice proper classical plucking technique. And pick just is for me. I love it.

Here are two short samples of my hybrid picking on nylon string guitar. There are also transcriptions on the video if you like to play them.

I hope you like this.
Kindest, Mikko

Very nice! I read through the pieces and enjoyed them. I play with a hybrid technique because my "i" finger feels unresponsive after many years playing with classical technique. I had to adapt new technique to keep playing. I like your work.

Thank you! I hear you. I had to stop active gypsy jazz playing because it was too heavy for my hands with all other stress in life.

I'm currently making album of classical miniatures and etudes. Everything will be played with hybrid picking or plain picking. I will transcribe everything to a book. There is some classical guitarists who are already interested in it. One Finnish guy has some kind of syndrome in his plucking hand and he has to learn the technique from start again. He plays my songs also because he uses pick today.

Here is one of my compositions with pick and gypsy jazz guitar if you wish to listen. It's a romantic song about Finnish nature Lake Forrest to be spesific.

Kindest, Mikko

Mikko,
Thank you for sharing. It is a wonderful composition. I like how it has form and how it returned to the theme the last time after the Torroba-like section. Very nice musical ideas!

Mikko,
I find your tabs very helpful in regards to fingering positions.
