Default 2020 Gibson 50's LG-2 Vintage Sunburst SOLD PENDING PAYMENT

Hi all,

I made an impulse purchase a month or so back and feel pretty silly about it actually. I missed the LG-2 American Eagle I gave to my son, loved the way these look, and said "pandemic... why not?".

It's this guitar:

https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/ACCDYV...ntage-Sunburst

They differ from the American Eagle in these meaningful ways:

1) rectangular bridge instead of belly-up
2) Creme button tuners via Grover roto minis
3) Sunburst vs natural
4) Chunkier fuller neck than the AE... still 1 23/32nds" width
5) Brown versus black case

But feel free to check the specs. MAP is $2499. I paid just under $2200. I am asking $1,900 shipped and paid by check, or $1,850 cash and picked up in Chatham NJ

The guitar is in mint condition. The case is basically unused - and includes humidification bags and case candy.

The setup is low action. NO buzz. Perfect in my opinion. The neck is straight. I haven't touched the truss rod.

Basically a mint guitar. If you want that Chris Stapleton look, that dry Gibson Bluesy thumb, its got it. It sounds great. I just don't need it (I have two other nice Gibsons and a nice Martin), and I just bought a used boat... a 1988 Grady White! So, I figure someone else will play this more than I will.

Some pictures:

I hope someone snatches this up. It's a great guitar. Please email me with any questions.

Nice! I like the idea of a chunkier neck. How would you compare the sound to your old American Eagle?

Thanks

Honestly... tough call. I’d say pretty close. It would be too easy for me to say “yeah this sounds much better”.

It’s subjective, and the two are sooooo close tonally.

This is the guitar here

And here

Is this hog B&S, or walnut?

Bump for a great no-issue mint guitar.

I am in NJ... Pick it up and I will happily deal.

I can also do a live ZOOM demo and show and tell if you are interested.

Bumping it up

Also I put back the original saddle - it's as she came from the shop.

$1900 by check takes it.

I have been on this forum for ages - and have bought and sold too many. My rep is pretty strong in case you are worried about sending out a check.

Edited... on hold

I don't know if I'll get a a reply outta this but I'll give it a try. I thought the LG-2 is an American Eagle. I've got one showing up next week and I'm a little confused about what I'm getting?? Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks
