The Out-of-Tune Steamrollers might be the greatest band name EVER!

My vote still goes to Mogen David and the Grapes of Wrath.

Thanks Daion78, very kind
I have a Daion The 80, great guitar! I used it almost exclusively on my last record. Records sooo well.

Hey Tony. Yeh they are definitely an acquired taste. Some of my friends who have tried it love it, some not so keen. But all love how it sounds recorded.

Here the '64 that I just picked up last night, purchased locally from Guitguy1 last night, via this forum's classifieds.
I got it all polished up, cleaned the fretboard with some Fret Butter (that stuff works wonders!), and put a fresh set of light phosphor bronze strings on it. It plays wonderfully and sounds terrific. Last edited by beatcomber; 08-25-2018 at 04:37 PM. |

The Gibson F25 folksinger was the second guitar I owned. The first was a Sears Silvertone I traded a sweater vest for, but I digress. I bought it new in 1966 knowing absolutely nothing about guitars but I knew Gibson's were considered to be great. Never could get use to the wide neck so in 1968 I sold it and bought a Martin 0017.
