Oud-buzuq - just completed!
I wanted to share this interesting custom instrument I just completed. Two necks- a Turkish oud & an Arabic buzuq, on one body. The body is flat back, and the flat top is lattice braced, with no soundhole, a large side soundport instead.
Oh, and it's left-handed! Thanks- I am going to try to make a recording this weekend. It is very difficult to play as it is left-handed- the headstock is oriented to be 'out of the way' for a lefty, but that means it is 'in the way' for a righty!
Also I've never played buzuq before...
