Stan Lee tended to create characters with more depth, more humanity than the two dimensional DC comic heroes. He also created a whole cornucopia of heroes from Spiderman, The Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, The X-Men, etc.

He owed much to the creative genius of Jack Kirby, but so the fame game goes.

I had to break the news to my 12-year-old daughter who wanted to meet him some day. Luckily, she took it pretty well.

I wasn't into comic books, but I have enjoyed the movies featuring his many characters.

RIP Mr. Lee
