On their first day, Most of my guitars are a shadow Of what they will be a few days later. To have this one shine so brightly on day one is very promising. Bob’s Myrtle 000 was also very strong from the first note, but it is not the rule.

Started the next guitar, another Couch Noodler 00. This one is commissioned, and will be Hampton Bros. AmerRed over Myrtle.

Couch noodlers rule. Or, I should say, THESE couch noodlers. They punch above their weight.

Count me as one who absolutely loves Bruce's smaller guitars. Really nice woods on this one Bruce. Will be another awesome guitar.

Just to let you know I can't see any of the pictures in this thread.

Strange as I don't have a problem seeing pictures in other threads.

Cheers.

I am encountering the same issue with Google Chrome on my PC. They show fine using Microsoft Internet Explorer on my PC. I have cleared out my cookies and cache in Google Chrome and that does not resolve it. Interestingly, the images show fine using Google Chrome on my iPad.

Stange issue...

Yes exactly with me also. My work around is to right click on the image icon that shows and then chose open image in another window and I can then see them. I will ask the administration to look at the issue.

The customer for my current build originally wanted to buy Couch Noodler #2, but he lives in Europe and the BRW presented a problem. So what with the success of Bob's Hampton/Myrtle 000, we thought we'd try for a repeat, but in CN guise.

Some may recall that the violin I made for Ben McKee seemed more of a fiddle to me, so I made another one hoping to get closer to the conservative ideal. I don't know if I did or not as there is a whole 'nother set of marginal moves bugging me about this one. The good news is that the first one is the probably the best sounding violin I've made so far in 20 years of occasionally trying to make one. Still, I hope this one is better.

I had no ebony for fingerboards, so I made one from Snakewood. As I told Ben (Bassist is imagine Dragons), the snake is a near relative of the dragon.

It is amazing how different it looks with the Snakewood fretboard. My mind is so use to ebony and although certainly not a violin or fiddle expert, I can not remember ever seeing one without ebony as the fretboard.
