This is a stunning guitar that my pictures don't do justice. I would have to say it's the easiest guitar I've ever played. The fretting is effortless. It has a great bassiness and very articulate midrange. It can be boomy or it can be wonderfully soft and clear. It has great clarity and separation of tone and sustain till the cows come home.
I would have another build by Ed in a second, but I hate to wait so long. Still thinking on it though  This is an exceptional guitar at a fraction of the price for the same quality found in other brands. My husband and I are really impressed. There is something about a custtom guitar that is really really special. I'm still in awe of the feel, tone and smell of the thing. The fit and finish is lovely. I just can't say enough good things about it. Oh, and the tone is just wonderful. I think the Engelmann/Sassafras combo makes for a wonderful instrument....well balanced and as I said really articulate.

Holy crap that's a beautiful guitar. I really do not like the black tuning pegs for some reason (in the pics they seem "unrefined") but I love everything else, including the black tuner buttons. Congrats on a great looking guitar....

Hey sled, thanks! I like the pegs and the tuners. When you look at the guitar it pulls everything together. At least for me. If I can get a better pic of the back I'll post it. I can't quite get it to stand out as much as it does in person.

That guitar really is a beauty!
I have a Halcyon on order and every Halcyon NGD makes me more excited. I hate the wait but I'm pretty sure when the guitar gets in my grubby hands, it's gonna be one happy day!

Beautiful Doxy! That sassafras is stunning. I love the all black tuners. I used all black Schallers on my AJ and it looks great. For Halcyon #2 I have satin chrome with Ebony knob open gear Schertler tuners. They add a nice touch to a beautifully built guitar. Congratulations.
