Default Anderson Crowdster

Any Crowdster owners here that can comment on their experience with the that guitar? Does it have a reasonably believable acoustic voice or is yet another quacky sounding electric trying to impersonate an acoustic?

I am sure there are compromises but does it accomplish what it was designed to do- acoustic tone in high volume situations sans feedback?

I had one in the mid to late 2000s.
IMO it sounded pretty good with a bit of EQ going into a PA. Has some piezo quack, but not horrible. I think even the model I had back then was running some type of LR Baggs hyrbid system. A quick look on their website looks like they're still using Baggs, although maybe a newer pickup, I'd assume the element? But not 100% sure as it doesn't say.

I will say, I did notice that the harder you strummed or plucked, the more quack you got. So a soft touch and lighter pick attack really tamed whatever quackiness it had.

It does sit well in a mix and sounds better at higher volumes IMO. I think it sounds better being played with a band than on its own...if that makes any sense.
I was playing at a 500+ member church at the time and never had any feedback. Also played a few outdoor festival type gigs and again, no feed back.
