Sorry you can’t make it David. It’s a special one this year celebrating 30 years in business and the 15th McJam. Plus some special door prizes

In 2042, 50 years in business will be celebrated at McJam 35. Did I do that math right?

In 50 years ... ummm ... Let's start getting plans under way for THAT one.

We aren't likely to be able to walk by ourselves to the wood shop.

I got an idea! Let's just skip the airplane competition to have Tim build a ramp for a speed competition to see who has the better oiled wheels. Yes? No?

It's either that or we will just play Rock 'em - Sock 'em in the back room and count the bruises on Saturday to see who wins.

Either would be a joyful noise for sure!

I was thinking 20 years ahead. I'd be 117 in 50 years. My guitar playing skills will have diminished a bit by then. Some might not notice a difference.

I'm really looking forward to this coming weekend! Haven't taken a day off all year as of yet.

I've been prepping stuff for the trip. I have a couple surprises for you Mary!!

Mary likes surprises! Its like those commercials where you want to buy one and hear, "BUT WAIT ... We will give you the second one FREE." Should I expect a catch?

We are excited, too. We are still McJammin' at #15. All the Mcjammer's gray hairs don't come close to matching the amount of smiles we've gained.

The heat is on outside. It's gonna be a hot one. If the electric and AC holds out we can handle this one way or another. If worse comes to worse we will drag out a kiddy pool and soak our feet to pretend we are at the beach!

See you in 2 days!

Hi Tom!

Thank you.

For the first time we are having a food truck each day. I hope it works out as well for us as Dennis said yours does. Thanks for sharing that with us.

We are ready to greet those who signed up and enjoy a weekend of fun.

McJam was a success, great to get together with old friends. Tim had lots of his guitars to play with. Spent a lot of time with them. Came home with a treasure, one of them just made me buy it. My first cedar top, slot head, 12 frets to the body. Ebony fretboard and bridge. Really booms! Tim’s a talented man.

Nice looking guitar Steve, would have loved to check it out in person.

Once again, it was a huge treat to catch up with my Mcjam family. I could feel and hear the encouragement when I talked about my rehabiltation and finally being able to pick up a guitar again after more than 3 years.

Being left paralysed in your left arm and effected in both hands is something I wouldn't wish on anybody, particularly a guitar player. I've still got a long way to go, but its a good sign.

Looking forward to seeing all the pic's of the guitar fun and the faces of the friends I've got to know over the last 15 years.

Well McJam XV is over and I think everyone had a great time. It was fun to meet new attendees and re-connect with old friends. TinMan was certainly missed this year and our prayers go out to him and his sweet wife.

We have a couple items that were left here. A Snark tuner and a leather bracelet. If they are yours or know who they belong to please PM or drop us an email.

Thanks again for so many wonderful memories and friendships.

I did NOT go there looking for another guitar. But one somehow followed me home.

You picked a winner, Steve. I slept in the loft and played it before drifting off to sleep the night before you claimed it. I hope it brings you similar peace after many eventful days to come.

I had only played a couple of 12 fret guitars before but this one is special. In case you hadn't mentioned it the back and sides are southeast Asian rosewood IIRC and the cedar really sparkles with a light touch and bare fingers as well.

When did the McJam Band get this old?

Adrianne has mastered the ability to sleep standing up while holding her baby Kylie!

Ok ...I know you all wonder where I am with pictures but, please hang in there. I know more pictures are coming. Tom B'sox told me months ago about how to get more pictures on here and hopefully it wont take long. I have those crazy McJam books I like to get organized.

If everything works out right Teri and Marcia (pronounced Marsha) will be joining this site and finding us here. These girls are my childhood friends and both claim the other is more talented. Trust me - they are both worthy to be on the thread. Tomorrow ... I'll get on the computer and share pictures. Until then show me what you got. Teri has asked if anyone got a picture of Marcia playing Fred's drum. If you did, please post it for her. They will be looking.

I have sent my personal stash of pictures to Ross and Mickki so they could see what I had on the phone camera. I KNOW the pictures on the shop camera will be a step up with a few more details of Teri's guitar sides being bent. When the time comes for her guitar to be made, which is sometime between now and Christmas, you piano playing fans will enjoy her story of her guitar.

Until later .... remember that a picture says 1,000 words. I'll share mine soon.
