No, it doesn't. Cool!

Paco came to town a few years ago and I had a seat way back in the auditorium. Couldn't see him very well but it was worth it to be in the same room. Across the isle from me was Lester DeVoe, all smiles. He headed back stage when the concert was over. Lester built a couple of Paco's guitars.

Paco is a living legend.

I still remember very vividly the first time I heard Mediterranean Sundance in about '78 or so......I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I've been a fan ever since......and no, it doesn't get any better!

Great stuff Marcel! I'll see you one Paco and raise you a few friends passing guitars around at a party...

Wow! That was awesome! When I pass around the guitar with friends while drinking wine, the playing gets worse and worse as time goes on. Ha! Very cool!

Those are great players too. I love Russell...he's my most favourite classical player. And the Assads too.
But when I watch them I think (what they play) it's not impossible to play.
But Paco...that's so different. When I watch him (many times live), see him play...try to play his pieces...I think: I can never do this. Never, ever.
No matter how hard I practice;
See this riff at 39 seconds. With the easiness he plays this.
And then the chord-progression, the alzapua's, the masculinity, the compositions. It's just not from this world anymore. It isn't. Most very good players are still, but he isn't.

I catch your drift Marcel...there's a certain "fire" that great flamenco players (like Paco) display that is unmatched in the classical world. It's okay to "paint outside the lines" if you're a flamenco player and I think that's a wonderful attribute of the genre.
