Great playing and what a beautiful guitar both in looks and tone!

One of the in-house "cheaper" versions of the original (Lloyd Loar) L5 that can sound as good as that iconic guitar for a fraction of the price. This one probably has a mahogany back which could explain its nicely growling bass in part.

Beautiful playing here, Roland! This song fits this beautiful guitar very well and you made it sing like a bird.

The mics sit on the smartphone. It is called Zoom AM7 and works quiet okay for quick shots like the ones I did.

"Quite okay" indeed!

I haven't yet listened with headphones but without that it really didn't sound like the "a guitar somewhere in a room" sound that you can get so easily with the mic on the camera. Maybe this model is directional enough, or your guitar really fills the room you're playing in! (Or you just know how to use your equipment )

Thanks so much for posting. You sort of have a Bruce Cockburn look as well. At first glance, I thought you’d posted a video of him. Anyway, great pleasure to listen.

Roger

Thanks Roger,
I checked how Bruce looks nowadays and so I still take it as a compliment

Really nice, and well done!

My bud is a BIG fan of BC, so he'll love this. (He talked me into learning one of BC's songs a couple years ago - it was so much work I haven't learned another! But, I've got 11 years on you, so that's my excuse )

I'd rather say the jazzlady had the control over me. But yes you are right, it is pure joy to play that guitar! It feels as if I could inhale a tiny bit of its history!

Ahhh, I've been wondering if guitars from that time have that same kind of dusty smell I'm used to from (admittedly older) violins

Sorry, just found you posting now.
I never could compare it to a violin, but I can imagine that the scent might be nice as well
The L-48 smells very lovely... something between tabacco and vanilla.
