Carrier for Binding Jig ??
So I am finishing up building one of those binding jigs that lets your router move up and down on a drawer slide.
My question is, rather than build an adjustable carrier for the guitar, can I just clamp it in it's mold and move it under the jig? I have already used the mold as a vise to hold it on past builds when I cut the bindings with just a hand held router? I think I can get it to sit level. https://flic.kr/p/2nmfMC2 |

Any holder that can position the sides vertically should work, in theory.
The biggest issue that I can see with using an outside body form is getting the body in contact with the router without the form contacting the tower. The carrier base that I made is the shape and size of an OM body and the vertical clamps are less than an inch thick. Even so, I've had to cantilever the router further out from the tower for some body shapes, especially for something like a venetian cutaway. pics in this thread: https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=643906
