How we do it is proprietary, but what we do in software is to tame those resonances so they don't cause feedback, while at the same time not changing the tone in undesirable ways. It's way better than a notch or series of notches would be to fix the issue. I hope that clarifies things. It is a new paradigm.

It should be fascinating as we have individuals on the forum obtain this product and report back their experience. Hope Doug Young is listening.

Apparently the Tonedexter Kickstarter campaign failed. Is the project able to move forward?

When setting this up, would there be any advantage or disadvantage to running the mic through your favorite preamp? Sorry if previously answered...

We are moving forward with private funding.

The built in mic pre is first rate and very transparent. So, not really.

So, pickup systems like the Barbera, Takamine or Maton AP-5 are not ideal candidates?

Okay, here is my question being asked again. Again, I ask why is this so? Mr. May, this is directed at you. Please inform us. I just want to understand the technology a little better.

James -- what are the feedback characteristics when used with the Lyric at "moderate to loud" volume?

With the kickstarter campaign over, can we all still get in on the early production discounts?

Sounds pretty awesome but it is pricey. I like how you can save presets for various instruments. This could be the only DI/preamp that I would need with my acoustic, mandolin and octave mandolin. My only concern would be figuring out the eq for each instrument when I switch from one to the other.

Get an EQ with presets, then you can match them.

Definitely could be a possibility. I think I will wait to see how this unit does before buying into it. That's a lot of money to spend.

Do the presets not include EQ settings? My impression is that they would... this is, for example, how presets work for a POD. Then you could EQ on the fly from that preset, but the preset would include any settings you had at the time... I may be wrong.
