Default The Just Man - Original Composition

I posted this a few days ago but pulled it until I had the time to fix some recording issues . . .

I play in a folk choir at a Catholic church. (Yes we still have a folk choir. I guess that dates me.) We needed a psalm setting for 2/9, so I wrote one.

There are some challenges to this. First, one needs to wrap a similar melodic envelope around totally different non-metrical lyrics in the verses. Second, we're dealing with amateur singers and musicians with limited skills . . . and a congregation singing along, at least on the refrain. It generally works out better if it's simple to play and easy to sing. It's a challenge to do that and still make it interesting.
