Default Ballybunion (fingerstyle instrumental)

Here is a new fingerstyle tune in DADGBE. The guitar is an early 70s Sigma GCR-7, which was their top-of-the-line at the time:

For this recording, I used a spaced pair of Shure KSM 137 mics. Also tried out my new EQ plugin, the Overtone PTC-2A, for the first time on both channels. Was able to clear up some quacky and muddy tones while also adding a bit of low end growl and high end sparkle. Definitely a more distinctive EQ compared to the standard system EQ in GarageBand. While often used in production on final mixes, this Pultec style EQ is a fun tool to play around with on a solo guitar track.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks so much Kerbie. Here is a link to the Overtone EQ page. You can do a trial run of their classic Pultec EQ, which allows for creative Boost and Attenuation of adjacent frequencies:

Beautiful. Great clean guitar playing, with plenty of heart. Thanks for posting it
