Here is one of the guitars I'll have a Memphis this next weekend. This is a black translucent finish over Bear Claw spruce - with a black burst. Something like this could open a new perspective on some of your custom dreams. Come play it!!

Here is a close up of this black translucent finish over bear claw spruce. I feel the grain took the stain beautifully!!! It looks great in person. This picture really shows it well.
I imagine the bear claw with abalone binding and wood purflings. I think it would resemble this one below a lot. But the bear claw figure would look different than the redwood. The stain really accents the bear claws figure. I like it and think its a fairly 'new look'. Kevin. |
