How do you surf AGF on your mobile?
My question comes from a related thread.. and since I've been struggling with this for the longest time, I want to see if anyone has bright ideas to solve the pain of surfing this forum using a mobile browser...
many times the font sizes just go haywire, like below... so I end up using tapatalk, but the search function uses the internal forum search engine, which limits searches to 30s per try... so anyone has ideas to make surfing AGF on mobile more painless? appreciate suggestions! |

Hmm on my mobile, I use google chrome, and have had no issues with font sizes.
...or is there an app on unaware of? However, it just does not allow me to access the search bar. Clicking it just refreshes the current page.

No good suggestions, because I just don't. Desktop computer, large monitor, and real keyboard or nothing for me.

I use a laptop and have no problems.
Of course, a mobile can do anything a laptop can . . . say the people who sell mobiles.

I don't usually look here on my phone. I wait until I'm at home and use my desktop computer.

I use Google chrome on my mobile and don't have any issues with the font. I agree with the search issue but the reality is that I just use Google anyway because I'll get a mix of results from here and other sites.
I'm the opposite than those above me. I almost never surf this site on my computer at home. Home is where my family, guitars, chores, etc are so I have no interest to get on the computer just to surf the web. But that's why we have options, we can each do what works best for us.

I use Tapatalk because I'm not aware of any mobile site and if I recall the old version of vBulletin isn't responsive design.
I'd be willing to be a premium member again if there were a responsive design site. To be honest, I'm not following it as I used to except for content playing, theory and the open mic because I'm GAS-free and not so tribal about brands.

I've been using the iCab mobile browser app on both my iPhone and iPad for a very long time, it's far superior to the built in Safari. It's very customisable and basically you have a full desktop browser on your mobile device, I've never had the problems you describe.

For casual browsing I use flipboard
If I need to respond or start a thread, I can use the mobile browser to Taptalk |

I use chrome on my smart phone. No problems at all. I don't even have any other surfing device right now.

The wonky font issue you're seeing is the way the mobile browser you're using is rendering the site. In my use, I've seen that primarily with mobile Firefox on Android. With mobile Chrome and with mobile Safari (on iOS) I don't have any font rendering issues.
I usually load the full site on my mobile browser unless I'm in a bandwidth-constrained environment and then I will switch to the AGF app (which is available on iOS and Android).

will take note of using chrome or the AGF app. one question, the AGF app still uses the internal search engine? |
