I loved your SSD! It is the reason I ordered one for myself.

Hopefully you will get a chance to put this one through its paces in a few weeks at Woodstock, if all goes according to plan? The tap tone on this one sounds reeeeeelly promising.

Hi Stan,

I got both necks fit yesterday and they both ended up at 1-13/16" wide at the nut so that should provide plenty of real estate for finger style work. We usually make our spec guitars 1-3/4" but I decided to go a tad wider on these two.

Mary...
I absolutely love your design, and also the decision to render it in a low-contrast manner. It’s subtle personality quietly requests the observer to stop and take a closer look at the beauty of its shape and design.

Tim...
Thank you very much for taking the time to explain the philosophy and engineering behind your carbon fiber buttress braces. I’m fascinated with the concept, and may very well try using them, one day on a future build.

Joel

Looking forward to finally having a chance to play one (or more) of your builds, and of course to meeting you both!

Hi Mike,
We are looking forward to finally meeting you in person as well. We will certainly have guitars for you to test drive to your hearts content so please plan to stop by and introduce yourself.

Here are pics of the complimentary rosette Mary designed and her nickname of this particular guitar:

This one is for Baker. He loves our new Yellow / Orange "Tape-burst". I think we may call this the "Baker-Burst".

Thanks Pandaroo. I think it looks like a bow tie but Mary said it reminds her of Aquarius so, hence the nickname of Aquarius.

Speaking of rosettes, here are a few teaser pics of the SSM guitar's rosette in process:

Lots of silking in this Lutz top too:

Meanwhile, Here is a shot of the back inlay on SSM guitar which Mary has dubbed "The Choker". Sycamore prongs with Ebony dots centered inside of Turquoise and Green Banded Malachite stones.
