Default My best mandolin gig yet...

Last night I got to play with Tim & Myles Thompson, Cactus Moser, and Mike Claiborne on some of the most challenging music I've done yet on a live gig. I was playing mandolin on most of the tunes. A lot of the time I was doubling what Myles was playing of fiddle and on some tunes Tim, Myles, and I were playing some smoking fast lines in unison (e.g. Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca at 152 bpm).

I had to spend some time in the woodshed getting ready for this gig. Spent time transcribing Myle's fiddle lines. All the work was well worth it. It was great having Cactus on the drums - man, that guy is so great and adds such a vibe.

Here is a sample of the type of music we were doing. This is off one of Tim & Myles Thompson's albums.
