be aware of the cone of death!

I would rather not be in the path of what comes right at you if your looking right at the middle of the diaphragm.

I'm better with what I hear if it's off the floor, but not pointing at me.

I have a marshall 2x12 combo with a 2x12 cab that I stack. That works perfect. I run that in stereo with a 4x10 Deville (HR).. about 6 inches off the floor on a crate. I get a lot of sound from this, (we're loud enough where I definitely need some push at times..) but I don't get that "spike in the ear" stuff that I get even if I have my smaller combos on stands pointing at me.

I gigged my Fender Twin with one for the same reasons. It also cleared up the floor space for cables and the legs on my guitar stands, etc. Mine had a slight tilt backward so the sound projected up at angle.

My Fishman Loudbox does that too without a stand.
