Absolutely. I used my ear to decide which range would be best to cut if necessary. I may rarely if ever use it. Sometimes a room may cause some honky frequencies to be too aggressive. An adjustable mid cut I’d great to have.

Sweep or even fully parametric mid is the most useful eq to have (along with high pass filter of course)

So you are setting up in a room and want to adjust the mid range sweep. You need to take out a screwdriver, unloosen 4 screws hopefully not lose any to remove the back. Then you adjust the pot, then put the screws back in. Seems to me an external adjustment would be a way lot easier.

I can’t argue that. I bet Sunnaudio was trying to get the biggest bang in the smallest box. I am guessing it was impossible to get that adjustment screw onto the outside of the box.

I won’t be taking out screws and adjusting to each room. With my Dazzos, I may never have to adjust mids. When necessary, I have the mid frequency adjustment screw set to a place that would be most useful. Currently I play in two rooms; My office and my church. The mid control is not needed at either.

A one channel version of the MS-2 would my newest dream. But I am not complaining now.

I think the Q is wide enough that if you pick a "decent" mid frequency that matches your pickups, generally, you should be fine in any room.

You could drill a hole in the bottom cover or have the bottom cover held on
by magnets instead of screws. Maybe a little silly. Really you probably would
not have to change the center frequency on the mids that often.

Good point! I'll see what's possible to make the Mid-EQ frequency adjustment more accessible. Our experience is that once the frequency is tuned to compliment the guitar, it doesn't change too much.

However a lot of us have multiple guitars with different pickups. The selling point of an external preamp is the ability to use it with multiple guitars.
