Default Friends, AGF'rs and Countrymen, lend me your ears (mic demo content & advice needed)

My first pair of mics that are the same brand and model, two AT2035 mics.

Totally raw. Close mic'd. Left mic at about the 7th fret, right mic at the lower bout at the bridge. Both mics are pointing at their location, almost perpendicular with a little cheat towards the sound hole. Both of them within 10 inches of the guitar. There's just a touch of something funny in the recording (as in odd, not a one liner, ).I don't mean background noise, etc. I'm not sure what it is, thus this thread. I need the ears of more experienced listeners and this is the right place. Thanks in advance. The guitar is my Avalon and I'm playing (attempting to anyway) the beginning of Stephen Wake's "A Precious Place" from his CD "The Celtist."

I hear a lot of backround noise, or what sounds like it to me. Was your heater on?

It's not bad but the left channel is thin. All the bass response is coming from right side and it makes the sound unbalanced in my head. I suspect the balance issue comes from pointing one mic at the 7th fret. The background noise sounds like a slight bit of clothing rustling to me but it was minimal and I don't think it detracted from the performance. I've heard similar on plenty of professionally recorded records over the years.

When I play on my normal volume settings the recording is pretty quiet. When I boost the volume up I can hear a great deal of background noise.

Yes, on the background noise, Barry. At one point I thought it might have been a plane flying over. At other points....the laundry? as others have indicated.
That said, I think there's a solidness to the quality of the sound...maybe your picking? Maybe the tune? Whatever, your attack seems stronger or picked up more fully by these mics.

Yeah, I heard the plane too.. But then figured, it was the prob the sound of the home heater or AC system ..
The air vents in the room being picked up by mics.

Sigh.... nevermind, thanks anyway. I thought I heard phase issues. I purposely didn't bother to clean it up because I didn't want to bury what I thought I was hearing. Maybe my speakers are on their last legs if no one else can hear it.

Barry, I understand your sigh... I echo what Jim1960 said about the subdued left. You need more balance, either in placement of your mics or volume controle. Otherwise I could imagine this recording would sound pretty good in a silent environment.

Thanks. I should have been more specific I guess about what I was asking, but I didn't want to add influence to someone's response. I realize there is back ground noise and uneven gain, I purposely didn't do any post processing because I heard something else in there. I have a couple of other computer speakers that I can swap out with my current ones and see what I hear. Obviously it's not in the recording otherwise someone would have pointed it out.
