SOLD - Froggy P-12 Custom, Brw/Adi, A+ Tone & Projection, Best Parlor Ever! - SOLD
Hands down, the best parlor guitar ever....and I've had two Olson parlors (I still have the only Olson BRW cutaway Parlor of the 11 built), Petros, Wingert, Goodall, Larrivee and other parlors. The Froggy P-12 is the best parlor made, period, and this is the one of the best of the best, if not tops.
This Froggy P-12 was built by Michael Millard for his best friend. Michael said about this guitar, "that is a very special guitar". It is a custom series, the highest, and has a set of Brazilian that would cost in excess of $10,000 as an upgrade today. Add in the slotted headstock, pyramid bridge and Paua inlay: around the top / attached area of the fretboard (think D-42 inlay) / Froggy logo / fret markers / back strip. This is one incredibly beautiful guitar. That is just the aesthetics..........this guitar will probably be louder than most of your standard size guitars. It has a big sound, not remotely like a parlor guitar. Clear, precise, full sound that is very balanced. Truly wonderful. Condition is 9.8/10. Like new back, sides, headstock, neck, fingerboard shows little to no wear. Top has one 1/4" indentation and a couple pin prick dents. I am selling as I am trying to whittle down to below 20 guitars and have made the decision to sell my parlors. I have for sale on AGF, 3 Brazilian rosewood guitars (Claxton EM, McAlister 000-28, this Froggy) and an EIR Bashkin. This guitar would cost north of $20,000 to build today. A new one just sold at Music Emporium, nowhere near as fancy, for $18.5k. For probably the best parlor made: PRICE $$$$ SOLD $$$$$ SPECIFICATIONS: Guitar Froggy Bottom P-12 Limited Plus Bevel No Bracing on Top X-Bracing Case TKL American Vintage Series Cutaway No Dimensions-Total Length 39 3/4" Dimensions-Body Length 20 1/8" Dimensions-Body Upper Bout 9 7/8" Dimensions Body-Waist 7 7/8" Dimensions-Body Lower Bout 13 3/8" Dimensions-Body Depth 3 11/16" to 4 3/16" Dimensions-Nut Width 1 13/16" Dimensions-String Spacing @ Bridge 2 1/4", 2.25", 57mm Dimensions-Radius 20" Dimensions-Scale 24.75" / 628.65mm Electronics No Fingerboard Ebony Finish Nitrocellulose Lacquer Frets to Neck 12 Frets Total 19 Inlays Paua abalone rosette, top perimier, Frog on headstock, backstrip, #7 pattern on fret markers Luthier Michael Millard, Andy Mueller, Tucker Barrett, Scott Hausmann Luthier Website froggybottomguitars.com Neck Truss Rod 2 way adjustable inside guitar Notes THIS GUITAR IS A LIMITED PLUS MODEL BUILT FOR MICHAEL MILLARD'S PERSONAL FRIEND'S BROTHER. This may be an obscene statement for a guitar priced in 5 digits, but this is a great deal. Period.
These guitars are the real deal. My adi/braz P12 is truly a special instrument. I suspect this one may even be better, but I'm exercising all of my restraint to cherish what I have as opposed to going after the endless dream of finding something a little bit better. Michael Millard has been building for quite some time. I hope he's going to continue building for as long as possible, but the reality is that he's closer to retirement than not. If you've ever been jonesing for a Brazilian backed small bodied Frog and you have the coin, don't pass this one up. Time for a cold shower. |

This is a lovely guitar and quite a good value.
One detail is that the text above says built in Chelsea but the label says Newfane. I believe that Michael was still working in Newfane in 2003, although he moved to a new workshop in Chelsea in 2004, I think. Silly detail which doesn't matter. I/son have guitars built in both places and they are magnificent guitars. hans

Froggy Bottom P-12, Brw/Adi, 12 fret, Best Parlor, PRICE SLASHED!
Froggy Bottom P-12 Custom "Limited +", Brw/Adi, Best Parlor Ever! Price Drop
Thanks guys. This is truly the best parlor you will ever play and will out play most luthier crafted standard size guitars. Note: North American Guitar sold a 2005 Deluxe P-12 brw, non cutaway for $17,000 or about in early December 2019. It was listed for $17,430. Mine is a custom, much more exquisitely adorned with paua abalone and guaranteed better sounding...........at significantly lower price point. This is a deal/steal at $SOLD.
