Sahara Dust, Anybody?
After the usual midwestern summer late afternoon thunderstorm, a WOW red/dark pink sunset over Chicago (my phone doesn't capture it)
Anybody else seeing a spectacular sunset?

We got a dose of it here in the S.E. this evening. It was strange, almost like an eclipse. It felt a little like fall when I was out walking the dog. Very overcast and slightly cool. Unfortunately we didn't get much of a sunset. It was more like a really overcast night before it rains.

I’m up in the Boston area and often walk the dog in the pre-dawn hours. The sunrises have been very pretty but I’ve also noticed it in how few stars are visible compared to what I can usually see. The dust seems to be reflecting the ambient man made lights and only the planets and brightest stars can cut through.

2020 has certainly been an odd year, hasn't it? There seems to be a sort of loss not only perspective but in clarity as well.
