Default Darkglass Element IR pedal

1) Instrument input level
2) Picture seems to indicate a blend tuning
3) 2 Mohm input impedance setting
4) 9V power supply friendly
That might be a winner... Can't wait to have more details...

Technical Specifications
  • Instrument / line / amp input Attenuation: 0dB, -12dB, -30dB Max. 900W amplifier can be connected to input (with external load)
  • Input impedance: 2 Mohm, 18 kohm, 12 kohm
  • Parallel output: A passive output for speaker connection when using Element with an amplifier.
  • Aux In: 3.5mm stereo input allows you to practice with backing tracks from e.g. your smartphone, mixer or keyboard.
  • Bluetooth: Stereo audio (A2DP). Impulse loading via Bluetooth with Darkglass Suite.
  • XLR output: Balanced XLR output for connecting the pedal to a microphone preamp, PA system etc.
  • Dynamic range: 105dB (A-weighted) / Sample rate: 48kHz
  • Resolution: 24 bit conversion / Latency: 2.2 ms
  • Impulse response: Five impulse slots and a bypass setting.
  • Headphones: Two stereo outputs with individual volume controls.
  • USB: A Micro USB C connector allows you to connect the pedal to PC/Mac to load cabinet simulation impulse responses to the pedal and control various other settings.
  • Supply voltage: 9V - 12V DC, center negative
  • Current consumption: 250mA

MAP: $249

This might sound as a stupid question to those who are using IRs. I’m not one of these.. is it possible to use an IR based cabinet simulator as an “mic’d IR acoustic sound” instead? Sounds like cheating the original use of the pedal but if it works.. can Cuki or someone expert shed some light on this? I don’t fancy digital sound processing usually but I’m tired of having mics around and blending a pickup with a mic image could make my life easier.. thanks

Yes, certainly. I load my CabM with IRs I capture from ToneDexter, ones I make myself, ones that Cuki has made, etc.

That's really interesting! Waiting for more vídeo demos. And thank you, Cuki! I know that It would be extremely hard to beat an micd acoustic soube, bit after your gelo with the match process, I don't feel like I NEED a Record with a microphone. The sounds os really good. And I have been playing without a Mic since that! You are incredible! I am now using my DAW in my livestream, and now O Will start the process of work on my IR only at the DAW and take off the HX of the process.

Thanks, I always thought it was the way to go for your application... and add a touch of stereo widening.

Darkglass Element is now available worldwide (269€ in Europe, ships on 16/7).

Here is the manual: https://www.darkglass.com/app/upload...nt-Website.pdf

No blend between IR and original signal unfortunately.. only blends the IR signal with the aux-in.. this is a no-go for me..
