Not sure but I hope so, my two orders aren't due until summer 2015.

He makes amazing guitars. That's for certain. Should be interesting to see how they are received by your clientele. looks like you will have quite a few builders from the Americas.

Trevor, I think your audience will be enthralled by Prof. Somogyi. I've attended numerous lectures by him, and he is a fascinating guy to learn from. He's got a great depth of wisdom, and a very friendly, engaging personality. Although his wry, ironic sense of humor sometimes goes over the top of some peoples' heads...
You're lucky to have this great personage come for a visit! Wish I could be there...

I have sold the two Somogyi guitars I've had in so far so his guitars go down well here. All my new guitars are from American and Canadian luthiers.

I've met Ervin many times (I spent two days at his workshop in 2009), I'm sure my customers will be enthralled.

Ervin's visit is now confirmed. Go to the Somogyi page on my website for details.

We had a full house yesterday and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to Ervin.

And here's a couple of interesting photos that Ervin left behind.

This would have been a fun time. Ervin is entertaining and witty. I don't know him on a day to day personal level, but of the handful of times I've got a chance to talk to him, he's been a joy to speak with.

Concerning 'run-out' in top woods, what are the implications/questions now? Or is Ervin saying here "a great builder will build a great guitar will all kinds of woods?"

Kevin.

Ervin didn't talk about run-out.

It was an absolutely fascinating evening, Trevor, and thanks for organising and hosting.

...and how did I happen to be sat playing the Somogyi OM just as Ervin arrived and everyone started taking photos! What great fun!
