Haxton HJ-45 demo video
This is a cool handmade guitar from one of our friends in Seattle. It is a J-45 copy. We have posted a demo video on our website. We are curious what people think. A lot of players here in Missoula have commented that the Haxton really accurately pays tribute to the vintage Gibson sound. Here is the description with a link:
New (Demo). This guitar is in nice new condition, but has been handled and played at some shows and festivals and has a couple of small dings on the top. It comes with same warranty as any new one, though. Beautiful traditional tobacco sunburst. 1 3/4" width at nut. Mahogany back, sides and neck. German Spruce top. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Pearl dots inlaid in fingerboard. Nickel Grover open-back tuners. Body has multiple wood purfling with cream outer binding. Haxton logo inlaid in peghead. This is a very nice guitar... especially when you factor in the price. Big and bold sound with lots of power. I generally lean more toward a Martin-like voices, but this one sounds pretty nice to my ear. Gibson-like voices seem to record well. The best Gibson copies I've played are more lively and a bit more lush than most of the garden variety Gibson and Gibson copies I've played. This one sounds more dynamic. Pretty guitar, too.
