I’m not sure I understand...you went with the three diamonds at the 12th? Is it the lower picture? The diamonds look beautiful!

OH sorry, did not mean to be confusing, just was labeling that one because it was a close up I wanted people to know what it was whereas the rest were full pictures of the fingerboard. I edited the post to make it clearer. sorry.

I feel like the slow kid in class...are you going with the second or third picture? I like the both but am drawn more to the second shot.

I would have just used the 12th fret markers shown in the second photo - 2 x Diamonds & 3 x white dots.
So you might as well put me down for #2 with a caveat!!

Yes, well after a few votes, I think there is a consensus even including our Aussie friend from Tasmania,

The correct answer is:

fingerboard2.jpg

I really like the simplicity while at the same time being functional and cool! That Snakewood is really becoming a favorite of mine to at least supply the bling...Koa use to be my fav, but it is soft and probably not the best choice for bindngs and such although it is used very often for that function!

Sorry to miss the voting but I see you chose my vote anyway. Right behind the TOL in abalone.

I missed out the voting too, even though it doesn't matter..

But for the record, I'm all in on number 3!

Glad for you, Tom, this looks great! Notice Snakewood all around on mine as well. I love that there is a subtlety to the contrast, enough figuring to be interesting without being distracting. Beautiful!

Thanks guys, it will look mighty fine. Number 3 was what I had suggested to Ben and the one I picked was the one he came up with. I guess he might know better than I!

So the top has been braced and voiced. Looks so nice and clean. I love these shots! I like that little reinforcement at the rosette to support the diamond!
