Default Washburn Comfort G Mini 55 Koa

I picked one of these up to use as a travel guitar.

From the Washburn site: "The Comfort G-Mini 55 Koa is a 7/8 size, satin finished, “Mini” Grand Auditorium body acoustic guitar with a Koa top, back and sides. Bound in Walnut, it features a rounded over “Binding Relief” underneath the player’s forearm area and a “Comfort Carve-Away” at the upper shoulder which allows for superior access to the higher frets. The mahogany neck has a ebony fingerboard with dot inlays which ties in nicely with the ebony bridge. The headstock features a maple Washburn logo as well as gold tuners with ebonite buttons. The gorgeous parquet rosette is made of alternating maple and mahogany."

Price was south of $300, and I have to say that this is a well made little fella, that sounds pretty darn good. Intonation on mine is spot on, and it has volume way beyond it's size. Nice set up out of the box. Comes with a nice padded gig bag with shoulder straps and a large cargo pocket. I have found it to be an ideal "toss it in the car and go," as well as a sweet little couch picking guitar.

Very nice specs. Hopefully it as good as taylor gs mini. But I cant understand why they don't make travel guitars 12 frets? Physics alone demands it....

Congratulations and a nice find!

Although in my mind when a member with the screen name Grizzly Adams posts about a NGD, I expected it to be about a super jumbo made out of exotic woods and animal parts. But I digress.

I played one and indeed it sounds very good. Unfortunately the neck width of 11/16 and the short scale of 23 1/4 inches prevented me to buy it.
