Thanks for taking the time to watch and listen. This one is a knock out instrument!!!
wow, that sounded pretty great for someone just tooling around on the fretboard.

Here's a video I put up of it. Its a bit glitchy but the tone comes through well.

Embedding for you.

Congratulations on a fantastic guitar. I just pulled the trigger on a MB D-41 today. I had a standard a few years back and I'm looking forward to this hot-rodded D-41 getting here next week.

The bass on that D -41 is amazing. Thanks for sharing your video. I'd love to hear some full-out finger-style tunes on it in the future, if you care to share.

Just now I was browsing YouTube for Emerald X30 demos, and I found one that you made in May 2018. That guitar has a big, fat bass tone as well.

How would compare the bass on your D-41 to your X30, in terms of volume and tone?

Thanks

The Emerald was an interesting guitar. I sold it because I ultimately preferred the tone of my Classic Series Rainsong WS1000. It (the X30) was bass heavy to a fault. This Martin D-41 Turbo has thick fat bass but the Red Spruce top allows for rich full sounding mids and highs too. Hard to compare Carbon Fiber to wood for tone but its easy to compare them for other things like playability and responsiveness.

My Rainsong is a really great guitar. I'd like to play an Emerald X20.

Thanks for your response. My dread (Tacoma DR 20) does not have a very powerful Bluegrass-style bass, so I'm searching for something that does. It's hard to tell from YouTube videos.

Depending on your budget I'd be glad to make some recommendations based on my experience. Send me a PM if you'd like.

Thanks

Sitting in Wendy's with Madonna playing in the background, so I could only pick up part of what you were saying, but when you started playing...Wow! Beautiful tone and so bassy! Enjoy that beast!
