Dylan Ryche - The Music
Rough and ready recording of this one, with -- my nemesis -- a botched harmonic before the final passage!
I learned most of this piece a couple of years ago, but didn't finish it off until recently. Dylan Ryche does a whole bunch of thumb-wraps - even wrapping over to the A string for one note. I haven't learned thumb-wrapping yet (despite having reasonably big hands/thumb reach), so did the best I could. He ends with a chord that uses a thumb wrap, so I switched it up to end with the twinkly run-down to the main chord. Really fun to play this one though -- it's a go-to piece when I pick my guitar up. Not sure I'll put any proper polish on it, nor try to record it better, but I'm pleased to have tried at least twice. |
