Original Tune - "My Kind of Town"

The other day my band pre-taped a performance for a streaming "festival" and I asked my partner to break this one out because I liked it.

The song is inspired by a couple of tunes—David Wilcox's "Saturday They'll All Be Back Again" and this particular performance of Steve Earle's "Fort Worth Blues.", and as I always say when I play it, it's about not really liking the place where you grew up.



Sorry for the glitching. Not sure what's up there. This show was "warts and all."

Another thing: I think it's clever to title a song the same as something else famous, "My Kind of Town." You never know who's going to find it or click on it because of the more familiar song. - Can't hurt.

You know it’s funny. I wrote this song before I did a DEEP dive on Frank, so I had no idea it was already a famous title!
