Smile Free Tabs Resource for Acoustic Guitarists

In case guitar teachers and players out there amongst our members may be interested:

There are a lot of free tabs in TablEdit format available on my website (3 pages of tabs) as well as a tunings list page. Please feel free to download and use these if they catch your imagination and/or you think they might be useful to you and/or your students.

They can be found over at:

http://www.stevemcwilliam.co.uk/guitar/tab.htm
http://www.stevemcwilliam.co.uk/guitar/friendstab.htm

and

http://www.stevemcwilliam.co.uk/guitar/dadi.htm

And the 'Tunings List' can be found at:

Nice one.
Thanks for dropping the link.

I'm sure I've missed something obvious: What's the plug-in I'm missing? (For whatever appears below the song title?)

Thankjs.

Hi State-it,

I assume you are referring to the Quicktime plug-in which I have experimented with on the tab.htm page but not on the other tow tab pages (friendstab.htm & dadi.htm).

Not sure whether to keep it or to put the tab.htm page back to a similar format to the other two. Comments gratefully received.

Cheers, enjoy and keep on pluckin'.

Wonderful collection of tabs and songs! I'm sure there are many who find it helpful, and I appreciate the work you put in the site!
Discovering your recordings and renditions as well. Really enjoyable.

Browsing the archive myself, I have a problem with loading times and the linked audio samples you have set up though.
The Quicktime plugin seems to pre-load some things or is simply quite heavy in loading time with everything lined up on one page. My browser even gave up on me a few times.
A light javascript audio player (e.g. http://wpaudioplayer.com/standalone/) or an up to date html 5 flash plugin would surely add to the ease of use. But since you're not sure if to keep it or not, this might not be a big issue.

I hope you don't mind the small web related suggestion. Just to provide a bit feedback.
Of course I also wanted to comment simply to acknowledge the time and work you seem to have spent on this project. It's great! Keep it up. And thanks for sharing.
I'll definitely keep it in my bookmarks.
