Your voice is refreshing, it's like an old memory or something, very soothing. I think you did well on the song, like you opened it up and allowed a voice to be heard. ...and felt.

I suppose if you can do so well for this Crystal song, you would do well for some of her other songs? Nonetheless, carry on and keep singing.

I put my own spin on stuff, never try to duplicate the original (as if I could !)
Just do what I can. I appreciate all the nice compliments!

I'll just recommend a handful of some of her songs:

Half the Way

I'll Get Over You - one of my favs

Ready For The Times To Get Better - studio

Somebody Loves You

And my favorite...

Wrong Road Again

I prefer these all from studio... she has tons of live stuff.

How could I forget the whole reason I decided to make this post? Silly me.

You would do a great job at Loretta's "Good ol' County Christmas"

My courage is lacking when it comes to singing out loud. I'll let loose for my lady and pets briefly at home, but otherwise, I only sing the best when I'm alone. After reading another post, I'm strongly considering sharing more. I need that camera and a bunch of takes. Lol

Really sweet! Excellent Vox

I remember seeing Crystal Gale with her gorgeous hair, singing this tune on Solid Gold on tv. Nice memory to be taken back to.

Great tune. My dad and I always loved Crystal Gayle. My dad is long passed, but he and I used to watch The Nashville Network back in the 80s, and we loved a lot of the artists on there. Music was something that bonded my dad and me. Whenever Crystal came on, we were always glued to the TV set, lol.

And growing up in southern WV, we did know that Loretta Lynn and Crystal were sisters.

Anyway, your rendition of that great old tune brought back some memories, and it was beautifully sung and played. Thank you for sharing.--Tim
