Haha, no when I was younger, my brother used to steal my pennies, so I put a note in there saying "don't steal my pennies" & never took it out when I moved hahaha ☺

Congrats!!! Love that Les Paul (and the Tele too). Did you play before buying or buy online?

That tele has 3 bits on the bridge. The modern MIM have 6. What year is that?

They're saddles and the 3-saddle bridge is the original Tele style - and some would say the best. The large mass of the saddles, and the large break angle (the angle between the string going in to the saddle and the string going out) should in theory help create the sharp attack which gives a Tele it's twang.

Six-saddle bridges still have the big break angle (because of the string-through design) but a smaller mass. The difference in sound shouldn't be huge and of course bright, single-coil pickups are probably more important than anything else for Tele twang.

The Tele will fizz and pop like champagne. By comparison the LP - with humbuckers - will be like a rich, dark, red wine.

Is that Tele an FSR?

The 3-barrel saddles and the reversed plate looks to be an FSR. May want to email [email protected] as it may or may not be a limited run guitar.

They only made 200 of my FSR Tele in Copper Burst paint. Fender sent me the specs after I emailed them the pictures and serial number.

Nice score on both guitars. I have a Tele and Les Paul too.

EDIT- love the wrapped strings over the bridge. I did that on my Les Paul also, lots of sustain.
