I've been a big fan of Honda products for the past 3+ decades... have never had a new car, always have found good condition used models, with my #1 criterion being that they are reliable! After that, the qualities I want are fun to drive, good braking/handling, decent gas mileage...

My current car (for the past 8 years!) is a 1999 Acura Integra GS hatchback; only had 57,000 miles on it when I bought it and it only has 110,000 now. As many Honda mechanics would tell you, the engine is barely broken in! It's a great little car, and with the back seats folded down, there's room enough for my PA, 2 acoustic guitars and all relevant equipment for gigging... with still plenty of room for my Boston Terrorist!

I keep going back and forth between Accords and Civics...these are the current and previous...
I loved my laST TWO Accords, but sadly, they are no longer available in the UK.

F 150 with a V8. They last forever and I’m 6’3” so small cars are not comfortable. Moreover, in my business I see a lot of wrecked vehicles and mass wins every time. You have a better chance of walking away from an accident if you’re driving something big.

I'm with Bob Womack... I like the OP's car, we don't have those
in the states. I would want a more souped up one, though... Toyota
has introduced a Yaris GR that would do nicely, but they don't sell
that here either! I don't know what kind of car Bridgepin's wife has,
but I like the looks of that too...

Thanks! Yeah, the engine size is the only occasional drawback, it’s perfect for town and city driving but getting up to speed on the motorway takes a while which can be tricky at slip roads.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate as primary vehicle

my first car was a 1975 Pinto that i painted with robin egg blue housepaint (stylin cool)

my fav from yesteryear was a caprice classic converted cop car...bought it for $500 cause it didnt run, all it needed was new plug wires and plugs. that thing would float like a boat on the highway.

Not really. Most small cars these days have a huge amount of safety equipment and your chances of walking away are excellent in most cases. Maybe it's better to rephrase what you said as "You have a better chance at walking away if you don't get hit by a truck".

Hi Coler,
I loved estates .. Fords, Hondas and one Merc. Seem out of fashion nowadays apart from German, or German linked brands.

I had them for guitars and p.a systems rather than babies, but whatever your needs, they are great designs.

I have a humble 2018 Chevrolet Sonic sedan. I bought it new and because of my WFH, it has only 19000 miles on it. It gets me where I want to go and I subscribe to Sirius XM for entertainment.

Oh wow, I thought my measly four thousand miles in a year was low!

Translation: “slip road” = “on-ramp”.

You’re welcome

I drive a plain ole 2016 Ford Edge but I am on a priority list for a new 2023 Lexus RX hybrid which should be out in a few weeks. If it “talks” to me when I test drive it I’m buying it. If not, it’ll be some other SUV from MB, Porsche or Jaguar. Yeah, I’m trading up (way up) and treating myself for what may well be my last new vehicle purchase ever.
