Default Hymn "God Be In My Head"

Music for a short hymn composed many years ago by my mother. I arranged it for guitar.
The lyrics of the hymn written centuries ago.

Thanks Inyo. I like the way the voice lines move in the chord progressions.

Hi Rick,
So lovely.
This composition is solemn and grand.
Your mother is an exquisite musician.
I love this hymn.

That was really beautiful and powerful, Derek. Great recorded sound (as usual!)

Thanks much. Originally composed with being played on an organ in mind I used a reverb with at least some of that effect.

Really an amazing capture of an organ sound on that guitar. And so totally different from your usual.

Very nice hymn and tastefully done arrangement on guitar.
I bet it would sound nice too on a classical guitar.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys. Block chording and cathedral type reverberation helped on the sound.

Reminds me of something I'd hear walking into the church I attended as a teenager at the beginning of service. I like it.

My mother was a choir director in a large church which had a grand organ. I heard this hymn and many other pieces of church music starting from the age of about five.
