Hi John,
Very nice. I found myself a little jolted to hear a woman's voice singing the lead vocal, but after a few milliseconds I adjusted and found I enjoyed this. Well done! - Glenn

Thanks to all, and thanks Glenn.
Sarah's voice has a distinctive quality and collaborating with her is a joy. She's a middle-school music teacher and semi-pro French horn player. We created a SoundClound account just for our collaborations, mostly of Beatles songs on which she sings and plays horn and I play everything else and mix/produce. We named ourselves "Lil and Dan" after the Rocky Raccoon song. My favorite of our productions is "Goodbye": |

Oh that is seriously lovely. What a bundle of musical fun. Thank you.
Slightly later: Just poking around a few of the other 'Lil and Dan' recordings, I listened to 'Free as a bird' - that horn intro is wonderful. Strangely spooky and solemn, hair bristling on the back of the neck. Congratulations.

Also, Sarah's voice constantly amazes me. She has near perfect pitch always, along with her own expressive vocal coloring and technique. Auto-tune is unthinkable. Indeed, she does an amazing job on our Step Inside Love, which is a near-impossible song for anyone to sing accurately. I like her rendition better than Cilla Black on the McCartney '69 Motown-style original. When Sarah whispers "Let me turn down the light..." Well wow. |
