Default Waitin' On a Woman - Brad Paisley cover

Another month, another cover. Squeaking this one in right before the buzzer!

This month I take on yet another wedding song request (For another wedding, coming up in June). Here I present my cover of Brad Paisley's "Waitin' On a Woman" from his 2005 album Time Well Wasted. It was also included on his next two albums, first as a bonus track and then with Andy Griffith adding vocals and guest starring in the music video. I'm really not much of a fan of country music, but Mr Paisley's a great guitar player it was a wedding request. I suppose I can learn a country song or two for money... (yes, there's another one I'm learning, stay tuned for that in May. )

Waitin' On a Woman - Kyle Scobie (cover)

Anyway, here it is in all of its acoustic glory. Not much to say about it except it really isn't a hard of a song to learn at all. Worth the effort if you need a bit of twang in your repertoire, although I hold back on that as much as I can. Should be a crowd pleaser at the farmers markets anyway. Enjoy!

Bel isi,
-kyle

Thanks Ed! I tried to match what Brad does on this strum wise as best as I could, translating it to the single instrument for accompaniment. It's actually a nice tune unplugged. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for watching.

Very nice cover there, Kyle.

This will go over really well at the wedding and and at the farmer's market. Did you know that nearly half of all US radio programing is country music and 4 out of 10 Americans consider themselves country music fans - more than any other musical genre?

Anyhooo - nice playing. You'd almost think that you liked Country

Nice job Kyle. It'll be a hit at both the wedding and the farmer's market. Always good to have some country in your repertoire no matter where you play.

Thanks, Steve! It's already going well at farmers markets. But no, I did not know that about US radio. I'm not surprised in the least, however, country music is HUGE business down here. As a non-fan I don't listen to it at all unless I don't have a choice. The music itself is usually fine, but the twanged-out singing can really drive me bonkers. Oddly enough, Bluegrass is fine. Go figure.

Thanks Ranger! Glad you enjoyed it. I know you've got some country music bones in you, so your approval is a fine compliment. Thanks!

Thanks, Bob. Funny about the guitar faces, as this time I actually WAS in pain (mentally) from having to play a country song! Ha!

Thanks for watching!
