Default Some bling for the new Taylor 714ce (V-class)

Taylor has upped it’s game on the 700 series in recent years. That’s certainly true for my new V-class - Lutz top, Koa binding, Douglas Fir rosette, pearl peghead inlays. But the TRC was just black plastic.

No more. Ordered this custom TRC from Scott at WEC Inlays. Great product and customer service. He’s in Canada. I’m in Oklahoma. But communication was fast and easy. He got this done quickly and it arrived in my mailbox just seven days after shipping.

Oklahoma, of course, was once “Indian Territory”. There is much deserved respect for Native Americans in our culture. So the image I wanted was Kokopelli, mythical Hopi symbol of such things as music, dance, and mischief. As you can see, Scott produced a beauty.

Very cool! I guess I just need to pick up a Taylor so I can get the TRC. Maybe something in Koa. . . . .

What a great addition to an already gorgeous guitar. It's fun adding a personal touch to our instruments.

Cool truss rod cover. I added some Charis ebony tuner buttons to my 514ce I think it's a nice upgrade.

Very nice. I totally agree that the 714ce has good bling but it's not quite complete. I added a set of abalone dot ebony bridge pins to mine. I have wanted to change the truss screws to a dark chrome/black and also the tuner buttons. But I didn't think of the truss cover, good call!
