David Price (Dodgers) was activated today to replace injured Joe Kelly. I'm glad the Red Sox got rid of Price.. way overpaid. He did play a key role in the 2018 World Series title though.

Much as I wanted them to, I was certain the Dodgers wouldn't pull it out this year, and I felt confident that Atlanta would pull out all stops to win it in Game 6, which they did.

Beginning with the Wild Card playoff, the Dodgers just placed themselves up against too many must-win situations, and finally the odds caught up with them.

I'm happy for the Braves. Should be a great Series.

Go Braves! First time back to the big series since 1999. They had an amazing team for so many years back then and won 11 consecutive division titles but only one a single championship during those 1990s/2000s years. Perhaps another World Series this year?

Yeah, Dru. Back in the day, they had one of the greatest pitching staffs in the history of baseball. Just wow. Maddux, Glavine, Avery, and Smoltz. Stunningly good.

The World Series hasn't even started yet and I read today how a work stoppage is imminent on Dec 2. Average salary has dropped to $3.7M and that's not acceptable to be so low. If they can't get things worked out in time for opening day then take the year off. Frustrating as a fan to sit through this.

... anyway, back to the World Series.

Braves vs Astros World Series.
Well, my team (Dodgers) are out.
It seems the Astros are probably the favorites.
But, I can't root for them (cheaters).
So, I'll be pulling for the Braves.
Hoping for a good series.

Zach Greinke is pitching a good game. 4 IP, 4H, 0BB, 58 pitches and he's pulled from the game. Relief pitching gives up 3 runs in the next 2+ innings.

What's with the new trend of pulling starters so early? The past couple of years we've seen this increase. I think it's better to stick with a pitcher that's doing well rather than pass off the ball to five other relievers where one might have a bad outing, as in last night. I can't see how a coach can expect all 6 pitchers he brings into a game to have a great one.

A bit surprised at Dusty’s hook. I think the new “short” game doesn’t always play out the way analytics suggest it should. I think there’s a chance that a reliever might be cold. The new rule that the dude you bring in has gotta go three makes pulling a starter risky business. You might even run the risk of giving up back to back home runs and losing the game.

Grienke can pitch. Leave him in til he proves otherwise.
