Smile and the BRW, while entry level in my stash, compares well in today's market.

"and the BRW, while entry level in my stash, compares well in today's market."

Yep! True indeed. About time you did this, IMHO.

Have fun!!!

I have no way to know much the recording actually sounds like your guitar in person, but the recording does seem to present the contribution of the Pernambuco (to me anyway).

I think it is a smart phone recording, which amounts to a pretty level playing field IMO. Definitely hasn't been process, nor does it involve an expensive mic. The character of the guitar is: VERY LOUD, near perfect balance with both fat trebles and a high integrity bass, and aggressive tone w/o any tendency toward stridency. It sounds beautiful to me. If you were a guy who wants to be able to control the rhythm of the people your playing with, and have a chance at being heard when soloing, all while adding tone to the group, this guitar is a round trip ticket.

Nice meeting you today Bruce, sorry it was at the last minute. Thanks for letting me play your guitars, the "tree" guitar was indeed a special one.

Today is Tuesday following Artisan, and I am back to work. There was a bit of distraction as my driveway entrance got excavated yesterday while I was flying home, and got poured this morning. I mean concrete, not rain, there was a lot of rain in PA.

i got the bracing on the OM I am making. This is considerably more Martin centric than my normal fare, but some of my "improvements" work too well to abandon:

Bruce,
Is that a Dalbergia Tucerensis BP and perhaps ~.090”-ish thick?

Yes on the tuc, Tim, but I thought it was much thinner. So I went and found the off-cut and measured it. You are nearly dead right, and low not high. How did you do that? The edge you see has a bevel on it, so it can't be clever measurement.

LOL, I just used the ancient but highly accurate SWAG method.

I have been told the meaning of the acronym, and if accurate, I am shocked at your language, Tim.

Today I bent the sides for the nearly traditional prewar OM28 I am making. Here they are glued to the endblocks with the assistance of my "air mold" which I have been using for about 20 years now and is adjustable to fit any size guitar at all whatsoever. For the next hour and 15 minutes, if typical, I will be hand placing about 120 tentalones.

Like many, I have a "testimonials" page on my website. It is one thing that I like my work, but my customer's opinions are for more telling for those of you who are consider their future and haven't actually seen for themselves. Every now and again somebody says something that strikes a chord for me, and hopefully that will be true for others as well, so I add it to my page.

Today I got a note from a fellow who recently received an FT-15-D, or more familiarly, a BRW/Adi Mini-D from me. I didn't get permission yet to reprint, so for the moment I omit his name.

"The FT-15-D Kerala is an extraordinary instrument. All the power of a dread, but the note separation of a 000. All the throatiness of a 12-fret, but the clear trebles of an OM. Highly responsive, but with infinite headroom. Remarkably clear bass. More sustain than any guitar I’ve ever played."

I will add that this take is exactly how I see it. Kerala, by the way, means 13 frets to the body in my nomenclature. This body shape is similar to a D but fits in a 000 case quite nicely. The buyer is not a newbie.
