+1 to both... I'm north of you in Dallas but it is interesting how it does feel colder here for some reason. And yes when it rains, it pours!

Let's hope for warm weather and clear skies during BIG!!!

Yes, I don't get it, I left NY and it was 12, but yesterday sent a chill through my bones. Nicer today, sunny and 53. Sun is out, much better!

As I keep telling all my customers, it ain’t the heat, it’s the humidity.

Yes, I think that is very true for both the heat and the cold. Growing up in MN where it is very dry in the winter, it gets cold, but I have never felt as cold as in the NE when it is more humid and at 30, if feels like it goes right through you, that damp cold, yuck...dry heat and dry cold is better I guess.

Yep, it's the wind and the wet. This morning was still cold - 27° at my house - but there was no wind and low humidity, so I enjoyed the dog walk. Had to run the humidifier in my studio though!

You never know about late March in Central Texas. It's very unlikely it will be freezing, but 45° and rainy is always possible. So is 90° and dry. Either way, have humidifiers in your guitar cases!

No negative weather thoughts please. It will be perfect, we ordered ahead of time.

That damp cold is exactly what will drive me off of Long Island at some point. I can take 10 degrees and dry, and I'm OK with 95 and humid. That 30 - 40 range, combined with damp, and I just want to hibernate. Looking forward to the Austin weather experience. Glad you got your order in for sunshine and rainbows (sans rain, of course)!!

I agree completely, that wet 30 degrees with blowing wind is a killer, you may just find this Texas weather to your liking and will need to make a second trip with the decision maker along to check it out. That is what happened to us, came for a visit, blinked, and here we are (well almost here). We have a much much greater chance for nice weather than bad at the end of March. It is typically beautiful. Today it is sunshine 45 degrees, no wind and what I would call PERFECT.

The boys are outside finishing up the new patio putting in seating as we speak. I am so excited to share it with everyone.

Sounds like I'll just be bringing the Martin; Juston's LeGeyt won't be ready in time so I probably won't bring my parlour.

Understandable, disappointed though, was really hoping to get a little more time with your LeGeyt that I met at Woodstock. It was so noisy in the show and since I knew it was yours, did not feel like taking it out in the rain to the tent to get away from the crowd noise.

Hey quick question. Trying to figure out beverages and how much to have on hand.

Beer
Wine
Soft drinks/Water.

State your preference and all of the above is also an option!

I'm a fan of Cabernet wine and fill in with water. Thanks for asking.

Hey Tom-

Water is great for me- I'm a lightweight and I want to be fully "present" when I'm around all of those great guitars and that wonderful music!

And it looks like I may be bringing my Chasson Classic. My right rotator cuff is a problem and the Chasson is my smallest guitar, so it's the easiest to play right now. I finally gave in and ordered a new case- a nice Visesnut that is lightweight so I won't be wrestling with the Ameritage any more. And it's a flight case!! It's supposed to arrive sometime today. NGCD??? Is that a thing?

So looking forward to this! It will be wonderful to spend time around great instruments, great people, and great music. What a gift you and Kathy are giving us!

See you soon!

beth

Water and soft drinks for me.

I'll probably be bringing my Hatcher Pina (parlor) guitar.

I can't wait for all the fun in the hill country.
