Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory.
I'll be seeing them live on 3/28 - they'll be playing this 1999 album live in its entirety, along with songs from their latest, Distance Over Time. Can't wait to see Petrucci and the rest of this amazing band again.

I've had Jeff Tweedy's two solo albums on rotation. "Together At Last" is from 2017 and contains acoustic interpretations of past songs he wrote with Wilco and other projects. And "Warm" is a solo album of new acoustic material, which was released last year.

Luys Milan: El Maestro (1536)
Hopkinson Smith, vihuela de mano The Spanish vihuela de mano is said to be a direct predecessor to the classical guitar. It had twelve strings with flat back and pinched waist, completely differentiated in shape from the lute which remained prominent in the rest of Europe. If you’re not familiar with the work of Hopkinson Smith and like very early instrumental solo guitar music, this is an essential listen. |
