Best cedar top guitar I've played. Either shape would be a fantastic guitar.
Thanks! As I said, I was surprisingly impressed and captured by the tone.

I agree, Tom. That was totally pumped up, Sinker Redwood, Ebony back...the full wish list. I expect the dread I am looking at to fall well below $3000, probably closer $2500.

But if you can find a standard Furch already in stock that fits the criteria one would be hard pressed to beat the value. I think the 23 series (now the yellow series) fits the bill. And finding a used one can be an amazing bargain
Matt, this is the route I’d be going; the Yellow series dread with a cutaway and pickup.

That’s great! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. If you speak with Tom, please let him know I mentioned the shop and am waiting on my price.

Just an FYI
The color series dreads all have a 45 mm nut. If your preference is for a smaller 43 mm nut then a Furch vintage series dread would be something to consider.

With that said, there is no up charge for ordering any guitar with either size nut.

Thanks Matt. I was very comfortable with the one they have ar O’Dibella Music, which I believe is the standard size.

I absolutely love my Furch, granted I am a beginner without a ton of guitar experience. You will be able to find a good deal without resorting to a full custom new build.

I believe I will, as well. The Yellow comes in a dread cutaway with a cedar top, so while uncommon, it shouldn’t push the price up.

What model do you have? They are beautiful instruments.
